Michelle Marheineke has been with the District since 2018 and brings over 20 years of experience in the health and wellness industry. As the Fitness Center Director, Michelle is accountable for developing, implementing, and monitoring safe and efficient operations and programs.
Born and raised in Burlingame, Michelle knew from a young age that she wanted to keep her roots in her hometown and work in a career that was self-rewarding and focused on helping others. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Arizona State University, Marheineke started her professional career as an Exercise Physiologist in Cardiac Rehab at Mills-Peninsula Health Services, with a specialty in older adult fitness.
Michelle is passionate about going above and beyond for her Fitness Center community. Her empathetic and caring nature fosters a special connection with her staff and members alike. When she is not at work, she devotes her time to her husband and children every chance she gets.
